Come What May!!!

It has been so long since I have "blogged". "Time flies when you are having fun". I do have to say our Christmas was wonderful and New Years was great too. This New Years I am focusing on demonstrating to my children the importance of the Gospel: Reading my scriptures, Praying more thoughtfully, Taking about tithing, Inviting the missionaries over for dinner, and all those sort of things. I love the adventures the last year has brought. Moving away from your friends and family and trekking across AZ to a small town really puts your life and your marriage into perspective. For instance: I have learned I am stronger than I ever knew (even though Julie has been saying it for years), I love my husband more than I ever thought possible, Being a mother is something you should be able to major in, It would take at least 10 years for me to acclimate to the cold, (Sorry Kids) and Absence makes the heart grow founder....I miss my family. I miss Costco Pizza on Mondays. I miss my Mama's roast on Sundays. I miss my mom dropping by my house with sonic drinks for my kids. I miss the huge back yard I once had. But in the other hand: I love the friends I have made, the time I have found to teach my children, the late night sleep overs with my mom till 2 in the morning, the clear starry sky, my parents/family sleeping over at MY house, nights on the trampoline with my family watching the stars waiting for a shooting star...and YES they came, fresh clean air, being surrounded by mountains, snow even if I can't step a foot out side in it. It sure is pretty, the roaring of an engine to announce the arrival of our daddy home for LUNCH!!! , a wonderful neighbor who is willing to open all the jars these poor arthritic hands can't and having a long time friendship rekindled because we are almost alone on this mountain. (I love you Katie) It is hard to say good bye...yes good bye... and as the tears flow from my face I know it is time. Time to come home. Time to be near my family. My family who needs their babysitter, their friend and their "angle girl." Rich found a job and so our time here is short. I will miss the huge growing summer season because it doesn't get so blasted hot, My ward family... I have learned to pick my chin up off the floor when I realize how amazing the mothers are up here. Life goes on and we welcome our next adventure. For we realize we our a family and no matter where we go or what we do WE are making memories and meeting people who will change our lives!

Hey, cutie! It's good to hear from you. My blogroll doesn't update your posts for me, so I don't check it very much. Sorry. So, where are you now, and are you moving back to the valley? Your family is adorable, and it's fun to see Sarah and her family, too! Good luck with all that's going on with you and yours! You're awesome! =)

Good luck with the move! I definitely think that living apart from extended family can be a great blessing, but coming home is all the better! Congrats!!
